Composition Research vs. an Actual Human Trial — Both Matter, Differently
Two studies are commonly cited alongside Neumentix, and it’s worth being precise about what each actually shows. Cirlini et al. (2016), published in Molecules, analysed the extract’s chemical composition and confirmed rosmarinic acid makes up the majority of its polyphenol content. Narasimhamoorthy et al. (2015), in Industrial Crops and Products, is plant-breeding research on which spearmint genotypes accumulate the most rosmarinic acid. Neither study tested whether the extract does anything in humans — they establish what’s in it.
The genuine efficacy evidence comes from elsewhere: a 2019 randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial published in Nutrition Research found spearmint extract supplementation improved attention in healthy men and women (Falcone et al., 2019) — a real human outcome study, not just ingredient chemistry.
