Their benefits to human health have been wellestablished by extensive scientific research, and in many countries worldwide they are considered essential nutrients — compounds that are vital for good health that must come from the diet, because the body cannot make them in sufficient quantities. The omega-3 fatty acids we use in Herbalife Gels are sourced from fish and primarily consist of DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) and EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid).

What is CoQ10 and how it works?

Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) is a fat-soluble, vitamin-like molecule found in every cell membrane in our bodies. We get it from our diet and our cells also make it. The highest level of CoQ10 is in the heart.

CoQ10 is essential for producing ATP, the main energy source for cells. ATP supports muscle contraction, nerve signals transmission, and some other vital functions. CoQ10 also helps produce antioxidants and reduce oxidative stress

Oxidative stress, caused by too many free radicals, can lead to diseases like diabetes, obesity, heart disease, and cancer. Balancing free radicals and antioxidants is crucial for health.

As we age, our ATP production drops, free radicals level increases, and antioxidant defences weaken. CoQ10 levels also decline. Supplementing CoQ10 may help maintain energy production, support heart health, and bolster antioxidant defences as we get older.

What is lutein and zeaxanthin and how they work?

Lutein and zeaxanthin are pigments that need to be consumed through diet since our bodies don’t produce them. These carotenoids are essential for eye and brain health.

In many developed countries, people typically consume only about 1-2 mg/day of lutein and zeaxanthin, which is lower than the levels needed for optimal health. There’s no recommended daily intake in the EU, but supplements can help increase intake to support macular pigment levels and overall eye and brain health.

In the eye, lutein and zeaxanthin accumulate in the macula lutea, a small area in the centre of the retina, essential for sharp central vision. They are also found in the brain’s primary visual cortex, suggesting benefits for both vision and cognition.

Are Herbalife Gels CoQ10Vita or ViewVita suitable if pregnant or breast-feeding?

It is important to understand that this product has not been tested to demonstrate safety of use during pregnancy or while breast-feeding. We recommend expectant or breastfeeding mums to consult with their general practitioner (GP) before supplementing, to determine suitability of use.

If I am already consuming Herbalifeline Max, can I also have CoQ10Vita and ViewVita?

Yes, you can have CoQ10Vita and ViewVita in combination with Herbalifeline Max, depending on your diet and how you consume the products

Supplemental daily intake of 5 g of EPA and DHA combined should not be exceeded* (Commission Regulation (EU) no 536/2013)

Below you can find some examples:

• Combining (up to 5 soft gels) Herbalifeline Max + ViewVita + CoQ10Vita. Herbalifeline MAX can be taken in different amounts depending on the benefits desired, up to a maximum of 5 soft gels per day for blood pressure levels already within a normal range, delivering about 4 g of fish oil (3 g of DHA and EPA combined). ViewVita contains about 335 mg of omega-3s (250 mg DHA+50 mg EPA). CoQ10Vita does not contain omega-3s.

• Combining (up to 5 soft gels) Herbalifeline Max + ViewVita+ food high in omega. If you decide to take up to 5 soft gels of Herbalifeline MAX per day and one serving of ViewVita plus salmon, olive oil, nuts, etc., you may get more omega-3s than you need, or they are suitable for you.

• Combining 1 serving of Herbalifeline Max + ViewVita+ food high in omega. If you take one soft gel of Herbalifeline MAX for general cardiovascular benefits plus ViewVita plus your diet, you are unlikely to get more than the recommended amount of omega-3s.
