Herbalife Gels is a 4-product chewable range: CoQ10Vita and ViewVita for adults, NutrientVita Kids and MindVita Kids for ages 4-17. None are halal certified, vegan or vegetarian — all contain bovine gelatine, and MindVita Kids/ViewVita also contain fish oil. Each gel is 8 kcal, sugar-free, gluten-free and naturally lactose-free. Why a Chewable Gel, Not a Tablet

The chew format is the point — it mimics the first step of digestion (chewing) before the nutrients are swallowed, which is why Herbalife markets it as an easier, more enjoyable way to take a supplement than a traditional tablet, particularly for children.

Each box contains 2 blisters of 15 gels (30 total), and at just 8 kcal per gel, calorie intake isn’t a meaningful consideration either way.

Ingredients, Allergens & Ethics

Are Herbalife Gels halal certified?
No, not currently. They’re made with bovine gelatine and fish oil, which typically aren’t halal-compliant. Herbalife states it’s working toward more inclusive formulations in future.
Are Herbalife Gels vegan or vegetarian?
No. All four contain bovine gelatine; MindVita Kids and ViewVita also contain fish oil.
Do Herbalife Gels contain artificial colours or flavours?
No, all four use natural colours and flavours, and are free from preservatives.
Are Herbalife Gels lactose-free?
Yes, naturally lactose-free.
Why are the gels slightly oily?
Vegetable oil is used as a processing aid between the gel and film wrapper, preventing sticking when the gel is pushed out.

The Science Behind the Ingredients

What is CoQ10 and how does it work?
Coenzyme Q10 is found in every cell membrane and is essential for producing ATP, the body’s main cellular energy source. Levels naturally decline with age, alongside rising oxidative stress.
What are lutein and zeaxanthin?
Carotenoid pigments the body can’t produce itself, which accumulate in the eye’s macula and the brain’s visual cortex. Most people in developed countries consume only 1-2mg/day, below optimal levels.
What are omega-3 fatty acids, and which products contain them?
Essential long-chain fats (DHA and EPA) the body can’t make in sufficient quantities. ViewVita and MindVita Kids both contain them; DHA contributes to normal brain function and vision at a daily intake of 250mg.

Combining With Other Herbalife Products

How does CoQ10Vita differ from Beta Heart?

How does ViewVita differ from Herbalifeline Max?
ViewVita combines lutein, zinc, Vitamin A and DHA for vision and cell protection. Herbalifeline Max’s EPA and DHA instead support heart function, blood pressure and triglycerides at higher doses.
Can I take CoQ10Vita or ViewVita alongside Herbalifeline Max?
Yes, but track combined EPA and DHA against the EU cap of 5g daily (Commission Regulation (EU) No 536/2013). For example, 5 Herbalifeline Max softgels (about 3g EPA+DHA) plus ViewVita (335mg) stays within that limit.
Can I combine Beta Heart with Oat Apple Fibre and CoQ10Vita?
Yes, but Herbalife specifically recommends taking Beta Heart and Oat Apple Fibre at separate times, to avoid possible gastrointestinal discomfort from consuming large amounts of fibre at once.
Can I take Gels with my Formula 1 shake, tea, or aloe?
Yes, Herbalife products are designed to be taken alone or together, following label guidance and without exceeding any single ingredient’s recommended intake.
May I take Gels if I have a gastrointestinal or clotting condition?
