Herbalife Immune Booster: Ingredients, Science & How to Use It
By Dogus Dilan, Herbalife Independent Wellness Coach · Last updated 13 August 2026 · 7 min read
Your immune system works quietly every day. Immune Booster is designed as a simple daily addition — mix one sachet into a glass of water and it’s done, with a berry flavour rather than a chalky tablet taste.
This guide covers exactly what’s in it, what’s officially claimed, what the underlying EpiCor® research says, and how to use it.

What’s Officially Claimed
Herbalife’s official claims for Immune Booster are the standard, EU-authorised vitamin and mineral claims tied to the doses in the table above:
- Vitamin C, Selenium and Zinc contribute to the protection of cells from oxidative stress.
- Vitamin D contributes to the normal function of the immune system.
EpiCor® itself is described as the product’s formulated ingredient, without the finished product’s own copy attaching a specific health claim to it. As with the vitamins above, any broader picture of what EpiCor® does comes from separate, published ingredient research — covered next.
Understanding EpiCor®: What the Research Says
Herbalife publishes a separate “Behind the Science” resource on EpiCor®, which carries its own disclaimer: the content is educational, not evaluated by any regulatory body, and shouldn’t be treated as marketing material. With that distinction in mind, here’s what’s genuinely published about the ingredient:
EpiCor® is a postbiotic — a whole food fermentate made from Saccharomyces cerevisiae (the same yeast species used in baking and brewing) through a proprietary fermentation and drying process. According to Herbalife’s science resource, it’s been studied in 15 published studies (7 preclinical, 8 human clinical), including trials specifically on seasonal immune support: one placebo-controlled trial with 96 participants over 12 weeks in spring, and two placebo-controlled trials with a combined 116 participants over 12 weeks in winter. A separate placebo-controlled trial with 80 participants over 6 weeks looked at EpiCor®’s effect on the gut microbiome. It’s also confirmed gluten-free (no wheat, barley, rye or oats) and, per the same resource, no adverse effects have been reported across its published safety testing.
Why Vitamin D matters more in UK winters
Separately from EpiCor®, the UK’s NHS advises that everyone consider a daily 10 microgram vitamin D supplement between October and early March, since sunlight in the UK isn’t strong enough during those months for the body to make enough on its own. Immune Booster provides 10µg of vitamin D per sachet — in line with that recommendation.
How to Use It
Add 1 sachet (3.7g) to 150ml of water and stir until dissolved. Consume 1 glass once a day with meals. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Use this product within a balanced and varied diet, as part of a healthy active lifestyle. Store in a cool, dry place, out of reach of young children.
